SincpacC3D General Information Command Summary PurgeCivilStyles |
Description
The PurgeCivilStyles command removes unused Civil Styles from the current drawing.
The primary intent of this command is as a tool that can help to clean up drawings before sharing them with others. As such, it currently strips all selected unused Styles from the current drawing. This may lead to some unexpected behavior if you continue to work with the drawing, as some categories may be purged of all Styles. However, you may feel free to create or import Styles after purging the unused Styles.
Note: This command is not available in the 2008 and 2009 versions.
Usage
Type PurgeCivilStyles at the command line. You will then see the following dialog, containing all of the unused Styles in the current drawing:
You may choose to filter the styles shown by entering the filter criteria in the text box. The filter mechanism uses Regular Expressions. Select all desired Styles in the tree view. Click on the small triangles to expand or collapse an item. Note that you may click at any point in the tree view, and all items below the selected item are also selected. So it is very easy to select either single Styles, or groups of Styles, or even the entire tree of Styles. Then click OK, and all selected Styles will be removed from the drawing.
Note: This command will sometimes create errors in the drawing. Running an AUDIT should fix these errors. Also, Purging is not nested, so you may sometimes remove additional Styles by running this command two or more times.
