The DLSewerLaterals command creates dynamic links between pipes. This allows a lateral pipe to change dynamically whenever the main pipe object changes. New pipes added to the pipe networks will not be linked until the command is rerun. Once rerun the lateral rules will be overwritten.
Type DLSewerLaterals at the command line. You will then see a dialog box like that below:
The pipe networks determine which pipe network are to be used in the command.
- Main Pipe Network
The pipes in the Main Pipe Network are used to determine the "Master" pipe objects.
- Select Main Pipe Network Pipe
Allows you to select the main pipe network by selecting a pipe in the drawing.
- Lateral Pipe Network
The Lateral Pipe Network is used as the source of pipes to be linked to the lateral pipe network.
- Select Lateral Pipe Network Pipe
Allows you to select the lateral pipe network by selecting a pipe in the drawing.
Sets the tolerance distance between the end of the lateral pipe and the main line pipe when linking the sewer lateral pipes to main line pipes. If the lateral end is within the tolerance distance the end of the lateral pipe the lateral pipe will be linked to the main line pipe.
These options determine how the lateral is linked to the main pipe object.
- Lateral Match Point
Determines how the lateral adjusts to the main pipe object. The options are Top, Center, or Invert. The lateral pipe will match the match point specified on the main line pipe.
- Lateral Rules
When Apply Lateral Rules to Lateral Pipes is selected, the lateral pipe will be adjusted based on the rules specified.
- Minimum Grade
Sets the minimum grade of the lateral pipe from the main pipe.
- Maximum Grade
Sets the maximum grade of the lateral pipe from the main pipe.
- Minimum Cover
The mimimum cover of the pipe at the opposite end of the lateral pipe from the main pipe. The end of the pipe is set at the minimum cover elevation.
- Maximum Cover
The maximum cover of the pipe at the opposite end of the lateral pipe from the main line pipe. If the maximum cover is exceeded and and the maximum grade is met, the lateral pipe will be moved up to provide the maximum cover the pipe. The lateral pipe will then have a drop condition at the main line pipe.
- Use Minimum Cover
The minimum cover of the pipe at the opposite end of the lateral pipe from the main line pipe will be used to control the grade of the pipe.
- Use Minimum Grade
The minimum grade of the laterals rules will be used to control the grade of the pipe.
Updates the sewer lateral rules used in the sewer lateral dynamic links command when the laterals are updated.
Creates linked PVIs from one Profile to one or two other Profiles; particularly useful for creating linked center, left, and right profiles for Three-Line Profiles.
Allows User Defined Properties on Cogo Points to be automatically populated with coordinates in alternate Coordinate Systems.
Enables or disables the automatic updating of Dynamic Links for a drawing.
Manages dynamic links between Profile PVIs and other Civil-3D entities. This allows the elevations of PVIs to change dynamically whenever the "master" object changes. The "master" object may be a Surface, another Profile, or an adjacent PVI on the same Profile.
Refreshes all Dynamic Links in the drawing that are known to be out-of-date.
Refreshes all Dynamic Links in the drawing.
Refreshes all Dynamic Links attached to selected objects.
